MAN ON THE MOON
While there on many books on Apollo
that a serious enthusiast should read, this
is easily the SINGLE best book yet written,
by Andrew Chaikin with the forward by Tom Hanks.
A decade in the making, this book is
based on hundreds of hours of in-depth
interviews with each of the twenty-four moon
voyagers, as well as those who contributed
their brain power, training and teamwork on
Earth. In his preface Chaikin writes, "We
touched the face of another world and became
a people without limits."
Chaikin is the only person to
interview all 12 moonwalkers and get their
personal feelings about everything from
astronaut & crew selection, training, peer
relations and best of all; orbiting and
walking the moon. This is not a technical or
scientific history, but an account of how the
astronauts FELT about their entire Apollo
experiences. You can easily "walk in their
shoes" and "see through their eyes" with this
book.
He writes in a way anyone can
understand, and simplifies the engineering
and scientific aspects so you can understand
what the astronauts were dealing with. Not
only does he avoid getting bogged down in
technical speak, but actually makes the
technical parts fascinating to learn!
"I've been there. Chaikin took me
back."--Gene Cernan, Apollo 17 astronaut

| SEXUALITY, INTIMACY & YOU WORKSHOP |
 |
|
July 24th, Friday 6-9pm - $35
Join David for a new dynamic 3-hour
workshop which covers information that will
offer exciting breakthroughs in how we
approach sexuality and intimacy as it relates
to self love and acceptance, as well as our
ability to love others more deeply.
Many of us shy away from talking about our
own sexual needs whether we are currently
alone or in a relationship with another.
David's philosophy revolves around the
concept that if we can begin to approach our
feelings about sexuality and intimacy more
freely, we then can use this newfound
awareness to deepen our love of self,
something that many people today struggle
with deeply.
Our gift of intimacy is one to
cherish, acknowledge and explore if we are to
continue our path to living a more aware,
awakened life. It's exciting to see a
liberated freedom for people who have
explored their passion for intimacy,
sexuality and love, and how this freedom
positively affects every area of their lives.

ETERNAL MOONWALK
It's interesting to note that the
death of pop icon, Michael Jackson, purveyor
of the Moonwalk dance, happened within days
of the "real" moonwalk made by Neal Armstrong
and Buzz Aldrin of the Apollo 11 space mission.
So, we're going down the rabbit hole
on the internet searches and lo and behold,
these two events seem to be inextricably tied
in the cosmic consciousness of Google. The
words of Neal
Armstrong crackled over time and space, "One
small step for man, one giant leap for
mankind" - seeming to predict the future.
And then, deeper down the rabbit hole
we go and we find this website, Eternal
Moonwalk, a tribute to Michael Jackson. As
someone who had a
knack for bringing the world together, asking
us to see that WE are the world (not hard to
do from the moon with that view), his legacy
lives on in things such as this. Perhaps this
moonwalk really is one small step for man,
and one giant leap for mankind.
